My current stack of reads. I used to swallow books whole in one or two sittings (I still do that for fiction sometimes), but now I find myself reading much slower, savoring, thinking, scribbling things down. The running thread through these, I think, is the question of culture care- how do I care for my neighbors, here, across the street, around the world? How do I engage with the world now as a disabled person with a chronic illness?
What have you been reading lately?

Joy, if you ever want to talk, let me know! 🙂 That top book looks fabulous and I’d love to read that one. I read Middlemarch a little while ago. Right now I’m reading a bunch of things–The Hour of the Witch, Anna of Kleve (from a series on the ives of Henry VIII), Outlander book 4, and I’m getting ready to start the one re-read.

Man I have to get better at checking comments. I’m so out of practice! LOL. I love your stack. I used to be SO into Outlander but have wandered away from it in recent years. I love to chat! I’ll admit, I bought the top one simply because one of my favorite artists illustrated the cover, but the poetry inside is really good. 🙂
