The interesting thing about this practice is how it forces you to let go. Today is probably the first time I felt like I was forcing things- what I saw in my head did not come out on paper in a way I expected. But I tried. I used to be afraid to try, and I feel like this daily project is teaching me to be braver, to just get it out on paper. I’m already seeing things in these experiments that I want to translate to larger canvases. I used Golden Acrylics, Staedtler pens, and Royal & Langnickel brushes on a 5.5 x 5.5 Drawing Journal from Handbook Journal Company.
