Inspirations…

I can’t believe that I will have been blogging a year as of today. Who would have thought I would have so much to say? I initially started it primarily as a scrapbooking blog, to share my recent creations.  Now, it’s quite the mishmash: a dab of art, a smidgen of sewing, a gob of life, a smattering of faith. But it definitely reflects me- who I am on my best (edited) days, who I want to be. Things have changed so much for me in the personal sense over the space of one year. I went from being a graduate after spending the first quarter of my lifetime in school. A mother and wife. A freelance writer. An amateur photographer. On a limb, I started Memoria.Arts Design Studio. Here I am a year later: a mother and wife, finally content in my own skin; a graphic designer; a candid photographer; an artist; and the occasional writer. Had you asked me what I would do when I graduated, I would have never imagined this… I am loving every minute of it!

Because the field in which I work is so visual, I am constantly intaking new inspiration from all over the net, my everyday life, magazines, you name it.

So, in honor of my blog-o-versary, I thought I’d share some of my most recent inspiration links, in hopes that you would be inspired to dream your own dreams too. I’d also like to send some inspiration your way- everyone who comments on any post between now and next Saturday (the 10th of March) will be put in a drawing for a gift chock full of creative fun and a little bit of love from me.

A lovely office- the color of blue on the walls is heavenly…I imagine my finished office will look like something along these lines!

A reminder to ‘just be’ creative- from one of my favorite artists, Rebecca Sower

Artful Blogging- such eye candy…worth every cent!

Artsy Mama- such a fun, beautiful blog!

Contemplating some round the house changes- and she has a ton of beautiful ideas…

and last, but certainly not least, sweet Anna, and the

Pleasant View Schoolhouse.

She is such a visual inspiration to me- a Grace Livingston Hill novel living and breathing, as it were. She inspires me so much as a wife, momma, artist, Christian woman…please take a few minutes to stop by there and extend your love: She recently lost her "Nanny" (the story itself is a beautiful lesson on hospitality in the truest sense of the word).
